Premier League Betting Tips: Chelsea to come up short against Burnley

Backing Chelsea at short odds away from home is a dangerous game.

The Blues went 2-0 down to relegation-threatened Southampton at the weekend before eventually coming out on top at St Mary's - staging a 66/1 (67.0) comeback in the process.

Antonio Conte's side were 10/11 (1.91) to win that match before kick-off and that's the same price offered by dabblebet ahead of their trip to Turf Moor on Thursday. Once again, these odds-on quotes look very opposable as the London club drift towards the end of the Premier League campaign with little left to play for and uncertainty over the future of their manager.

Burnley v Chelsea betting tips

Using dabble in the data we can see that Burnley's recent Premier League form has been exceptional. Five straight wins sees the Clarets in with a great chance of European football while Chelsea have had mixed fortunes with two wins, a draw and two defeats.

The stats suggest more goals are on the cards, too. Both teams to score at 19/20 (1.95) looks a solid option given it has landed in eight of the last 10 combined matches these teams have played. This wager will be even more appealing if Marcos Alonso is retrospectively banned for his challenge on Shane Long for which he's been charged with violent conduct.

Burnley have kept just a single clean sheet since the turn of the year (12 games) but have scored 11 times in their last five outings so this will be no easy ride for the visitors.

Clarets look overpriced to avoid defeat

The best bet, though, looks to be backing Burnley/Draw on the Double Chance market at 5/6 (1.83) with dabblebet. Conte may well rest some of his star names for Thursday night's trip to Turf Moor with Sunday's FA Cup semi-final in mind while Sean Dyche's men have been in great form - albeit against lower ranked teams than Chelsea.

That said, the Blues' performance at St Mary's suggests there is plenty to like about opposing them at 10/11 (1.91) - a price that could well shorten up as kick-off approaches if it's not a full strength visiting side.

Arsenal's abysmal away form means Burnley are just two points behind the Gunners so motivation is surely no issue as the hosts chase a Europa League spot. At 5/6 (1.83) the Double Chance market offers plenty of value on Chelsea failing to secure three points given their recent struggles, many of which have come against teams lower down the division than Dyche's side.
