Poland v Uruguay Betting: Free-scoring hosts to pay for leaky defence

Two sides who qualified for the World Cup in impressive fashion meet in Warsaw on Friday as Poland face Uruguay.

The hosts eased to next summer's tournament by finishing top of their group with a record of eight wins, one defeat and a draw from their ten matches, although Group E was arguably the weakest in the entire competition.

Uruguay, meanwhile, finished second behind runaway winners Brazil in CONMEBOL qualifying and will, as ever, fancy their chances of progressing to the latter stages.

These sides met five years ago in friendly in Gdansk where La Celeste ran out 3-1 winners and SportPesa offer the South Americans at 19/10 (2.90) to record another victory this week.

The Poles can be backed at 31/20 (2.55), and in qualifying they won five out of five matches on home soil, although recent home friendlies have been less successful for Adam Nawalka's side; Poland have drawn their last two non-competitive home games against Slovenia and Lithuania, with another stalemate on Friday priced at 43/20 (3.15). 

Though the Poles comfortably won their group, it was suprising to note that their defensive record was relatively poor; indeed, three sides in their group conceded fewer than Poland's total of 14 goals and given Uruguay's attacking form the visitors could fancy their chances of finding the back of the net on Friday.

Oscar Tabarez's side were the second-top scorers in South America behind Brazil, although Luis Suarez has not joined up with La Celeste on this occasion.

Nevertheless, Edinson Cavani and Maxi Gomez are both in fine form and should be able to contribute to a strong attacking showing from the two-time World Cup winners.

Poland, for their part, have netted in 13 of their last 14 matches in all competitions meaning the price of evens (2.00) for both teams to score in Warsaw looks appealing.
