Latest Premier League Odds: Top four race looks wide open as Chelsea beat Tottenham

Five of the top six Premier League teams secured midweek wins in what proved a punting paradise for favourites backers.

Liverpool (6/4) maintained their one-point lead at the top of the table courtesy of a thumping 5-0 victory over Watford. The Reds are still behind defending champions Manchester City in the outright betting though.

The title race looks set to go down to the wire but perhaps the most fascinating betting heat is the battle for the two remaining Champions League spots. Assuming the leading duo don't suffer spectacular collapses in the home straight, four teams will battle it out for the final two places.

Chelsea's 2-0 win over Tottenham at Stamford Bridge not only allowed the frontrunners to extend their advantage at the summit but moved the Blues firmly back into the top four reckoning.

Mauricio Pochettino's men have now lost back-to-back Premier League games but with 60 points on the board, they are 3/10 (1.30) to end the campaign in the coveted spots.

There are plenty more tough tests for Spurs on the horizon though. Saturday's North London derby against Arsenal at Wembley proceeds a trip to Dortmund in the Champions League before league games against Southampton and Liverpool.

The Gunners occupy fourth place at the time of writing but at 7/4 (2.75) they're considered the outsiders of the chasing pack to finish there by 888Sport. Unai Emery's men play Tottenham, Manchester United and Newcastle in their next three domestic games plus they have Europa League obligations with a two-legged tie against Rennes on the horizon.

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer's arrival has revived United's top four hopes and they're available at 11/10 (2.10) with 888Sport. The in-form Red Devils have taken 20 points from their last eight matches and with Champions League progression in Paris looking unlikely next week, they'll likely be able to focus on domestic matters for the rest of the season.

Sitting just one point behind Arsenal, plenty may fancy a high-flying United side to outlast those sides who will have busier midweek schedules to contend with.

Chelsea complete the sextet of top four hopefuls, also available at 11/10 (2.10). Unlike the rest of the leading contenders, Sarri's side have a game in hand courtesy of their Carabao Cup exploits although they're also 4/1 (5.0) market principles for the Europa League ahead of the last 16 getting underway next week and may see that competition as a viable alternative if their stuttering form continues.
