They've been looming as dark horses all season and Adelaide United will finally be able to show exactly they can do in the A-League finals with a mouth-watering clash against rivals Melbourne Victory awaiting them on Sunday.
Despite a number of injuries to key players, Marco Kurz's side has impressed in patches and ended the season with three wins from four matches.
Finishing fifth, the Reds were just two points shy of Victory on the ladder and in fact lost the same number of games as them throughout the season.
While Victory have found their feet late in the season, it's United who are really finishing with a wet sail as Danish marquee Johan Absalonsen returns to full fitness and shows exactly what he can do.
If it wasn't for injury, Absalonsen was a player capable of challenging Victory's Leroy George in terms of impact this season and the face off between the pair could well prove decisive on Sunday.

First up was an entertaining 2-2 draw at Adelaide Oval before a nine-man Reds claimed a 2-1 win over Victory on their own soil.
The nature of that win pretty much embodying the fighting spirit of Adelaide this season under Kurz, with the side hanging on for eight injury-time minutes to secure the three points.
In late February, Victory would get their revenge with a 3-0 win, but yet another red card to United just after half-time certainly didn't help the Reds' cause.
Each of their three match-ups have delivered suitable drama this season and expect nothing different in the finals.
Though Victory may have home ground advantage, Adelaide aren't going to be friendly guests at AAMI Park and an upset is certainly on the cards with the A-League dark horses looking to finally emerge from the pack.

Kevin Muscat's side winning by one goal is the best backed outcome at $3.75 while a two-goal Adelaide win again presents a potential bargain at odds of $10.
Punters are predicting the game to be decided in normal time, with a Victory win in extra time getting the most likely of the other outcomes at $9.50.
