Yunus Musah waiting on AC Milan to drop €30m demand as West Ham, Nottingham Forest & Wolves eye USMNT midfielder after failed Napoli move

A lack of offers for the United States international has forced Milan to reconsider their €30 million (£26m/$34m) asking price, according to Calciomercato. Premier League sides Nottingham Forest, Wolves and West Ham are said to be interested in him and easing their demands could convince them to make an offer.

Musah's departure is turning into a saga at Milan. Previously, Napoli were an interested party with Antonio Conte willing to add the USMNT midfielder to his ranks. However, Milan turned down their, which did not meet their demands. Other than that, sporting director Igli Tare had previously stated in June that they want to offload the player since his playing style does not match with Massimiliano Allegri's philosophy.

Milan's sporting director Tare said: "I think Musah is an excellent player, but we are looking for profiles with characteristics that are useful for the project we have together with Allegri. We are looking for low midfielders in a three-man midfield. Musah does not have these characteristics, he can play with two or three but with other characteristics. This is the real reason why we want to do something different."

Napoli are reported to still hold an interest in Musah, who will be hoping at least one of the interested parties will come forward with a suitable proposal.
