    THE BIGGER PICTURE

After a comfortable 2-0 win over Angers in a difficult Ligue 1 away fixture on Sunday, the Italian coach has urged his players to push hard for the league title and give PSG a run for their money. He also outlined his ambitions with the French side in the future.

  • WHAT ROBERTO DE ZERBI SAID

Speaking to reporters after the Angers clash, De Zerbi said: "If you don’t have the ambition to aim higher, it can be frustrating and even humiliating. Obviously, you may not achieve your goals, but that’s okay. If you want to be part of this club, you have to be ambitious, obsessed with looking ahead, with humility, but always with respect.

"It’s something that will not necessarily come right away, but in my adventure, just like with Pablo Longoria, Medhi Benatia, but also players like Rulli, Rabiot, Højbjerg, Bennacer, and Kondogbia – I’m not here to finish second."
