  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Richarlison posted a really strange video on TikTok that transitioned from a video of a cola bottle firing off like a rocket into an image of him lifting weights in the gym with bizarre special effects laid over the top, having recently recovered from a long-term hamstring injury. One Spurs fan commenting pointed out that Ange Postecoglou's team have fallen to 15th in the Premier League table, suggesting the timing of the post was a bit strange.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Spurs have only won seven of their 22 Premier League games so far this season, fewer than Brighton, Brentford and Fulham. The team has picked up a measly four points from the last 27 available - including three defeats on the spin. Richarlison has featured in the last two, against Arsenal and Everton, after missing two months, and is yet to start in the league since returning to fitness. He did, however, start in Thursday's Europa League win over Hoffenheim.

  • WHAT NEXT?

If Richarlison's assessment is correct, the striker who has scored only 13 times in his first 62 league games over two-and-a-half years as a Tottenham player, will suddenly burst into life...but maybe don't hold your breath waiting for that.
