    WHAT HAPPENED?

    The former England international has been without a club since being released by Nottingham Forest at the end of the 2022-23 campaign. Despite taking in trials at West Ham and Al-Ettifaq, while also being linked with teams in the United States and Turkey, no deal has been done.

    Lingard has been working on a personal fitness programme while keeping himself in the shop window, with a surprising offer arriving from South Korea. The 31-year-old is ready to embrace a new challenge in Asia, with his passport being dusted off once again. He posted an image on his Instagram story of his personalised 'JLingz' bags being checked onto a Korean Air flight on Sunday.
