City are still waiting on a verdict, with Pep Guardiola having said: “In one month, I think there will be a verdict and a sentence. After that, we will see my opinion of what happened so far.”
Various punishments continue to be speculated on.

It has been suggested that City could be stung with hefty points penalties, transfer embargoes or demotion out of the English top-flight. It is claimed that Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United have already registered for potential compensation packages if City are found guilty of breaching FFP rules.

While rivals are ready to take action against City, Football Insider adds that “lawyers are expected to appeal against any potential punishment after the club have been adamant they haven’t done anything wrong since the charges were handed out two years ago”.
