According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Al-Hilal have retained the central budget allocated to try to sign Salah - who just penned a new two-year deal at Anfield. He adds that that will now be put towards a new star name, with the Saudi Pro League team keen to add a marquee signing ahead of this summer's Club World Cup.

Jacobs states that Napoli loanee Victor Osimhen, who is currently spending the season with Galatasaray, is one name Al-Hilal are considering and the Nigerian international is 'open' to a Saudi transfer. The 26-year-old has been linked with Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and more, so he will not be short of suitors.

Al-Hilal may be looking for a new striker, particularly if former Fulham forward Aleksandar Mitrovic leaves the Saudi outfit - which Jacobs says is a possibility.
