Mohamed Salah has Harry Kane record in his sights after matching Premier League feat of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard & Man Utd icon Cristiano Ronaldo

The Egyptian forward has been named Premier League Player of the Month for November. Salah has landed that gong after playing a part in five of the seven goals that Liverpool scored across a month that saw them win all three of their top-flight fixtures.

Salah now has six monthly awards to his name, having made a move to Anfield in 2017. He has been a prolific presence across his time on Merseyside, with 168 goals recorded in Premier League action. The history books continue to be rewritten as a result.

Salah has emulated the achievements of Reds legend Gerrard in landing six POTM prizes – with nobody else having managed more for Liverpool. He also sits level with Manchester United icon Cristiano Ronaldo on that particular role of honour.

One more triumph will see Salah pull level with ex-Tottenham striker Kane and former Manchester City frontman Sergio Aguero – who have seven awards apiece. Two more will see the 32-year-old claim top spot on his own.

Salah – whose previous Player of the Month awards came in November 2017, February 2018, March 2018, October 2021 and October 2023 – may run out of time in a bid to match and overtake Kane and Aguero as his contract at Liverpool continues to tick down towards free agency in the summer of 2025.
