Man Utd set to join Liverpool and Newcastle in race for £60m-rated Bryan Mbeumo as Red Devils want Brentford star and Matheus Cunha in summer

The Red Devils, who are looking to bolster their attack this summer, have reportedly shown strong interest in signing Brentford's £60 million-rated ($79m) winger Bryan Mbeumo as they are set to rival Liverpool and Newcastle in the transfer market, according to The Telegraph.

United have also been linked with a move for Wolves striker Matheus Cunha as the Red Devils are prepared to trigger his £62.5 m ($84 m) release clause. However, their interest in Mbeumo is independent of the Cunha deal, the report added.

The 28-year-old Cameroon international has had a brilliant journey in the 2024-25 campaign as he scored 18 Premier League goals in 35 appearances and provided six assists. He is widely considered one of the best wide forwards in the English league.

After going winless in their sixth consecutive Premier League game against the Bees on Sunday, Ruben Amorim's side will now shift focus to the Europa League and will hope to secure a spot in the final as they take on Athletic Club in the second leg of their last-four fixture on Thursday.
