- PSG wonderkid Sangare out of contract this summer
- Man City want to acquire him on a free transfer
- Will loan him to fellow City Football Group club Troyes
WHAT HAPPENED?
Manchester City are planning to lure Paris Saint-Germain wonderkid Sangare this summer on a free transfer with the player running down his contract, according to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins. The plan is to sign the young Frenchman and immediately loan him out to French second-division outfit Troyes, who are one of City's sister clubs within the City Football Group.
AFPTHE BIGGER PICTURE
While no deal has been finalised, City Football Group may be inspired by Chelsea’s successful strategy of developing young talent at RC Strasbourg, where the team is now competing for a Champions League spot. The Cityzens could look to replicate this approach with Troyes, currently struggling in Ligue 2 and working to avoid relegation to France’s third division. Sangare has attracted interest from several Bundesliga clubs, too, with a departure this summer inevitable.
DID YOU KNOW?
Sangare is currently featuring prominently for PSG's U19 side. He has scored eight goals in six games in this season's UEFA Youth League and was rewarded with his maiden cap for the France U18s in November 2024.
