Man City set to complete first summer signing with Brazilian wonderkid set to pen long-term deal

According to The Athletic, the 20-year-old is all set to be the first signing of the summer for the Premier League champions. The club have already communicated to the player that he will be an integral part of Pep Guardiola's first-team squad. The winger will put pen to paper on a five-year deal.

The young Brazilian started his professional career at Atletico Mineiro before joining the City Football Group in 2022 when he signed for Troyes. The player, however, never played for the French side and instead went out on back-to-back loan moves to PSV Eindhoven and Girona respectively.

The attacker was an integral part of the Girona side that secured a third-place finish in La Liga last season and booked their berth in the Champions League. Savio appeared in 41 matches across all competitions scoring 11 times and contributing with 10 assists.

The player currently remains focused on his Copa America journey. He scored his maiden goal for the Selecao in their last group game against Paraguay and is likely to be next seen in action on Wednesday against Colombia.
