Manchester City are determined to make a profit from the potential sale of midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to a report.

WHAT HAPPENED?
The Premier League champions are demanding around £50 million ($61m) for the struggling midfielder, The Mirrorclaims. Phillips, 27, was signed from Leeds in the summer of 2022 for an initial fee of £42m ($52m), meaning the club expects to make an £8m ($10m) profit from his sale.

The England international has failed to break into City's first team since his arrival at the Etihad Stadium. Phillips made just 12 Premier League appearances in his debut season with Pep Guardiola's team, starting just two of those. He has been involved in three matches in the top-flight this term, all as a substitute.
