WHAT HAPPENED?
Bayer Leverkusen wing-back Frimpong has indicated he would be keen on joining Liverpool if the Premier League title winners make a move to sign him during the summer transfer window. The Reds are already said to be in 'advanced talks' for a deal worth around €35m and the Daily Mail claim the 24-year-old would like to relocate to Merseyside if the opportunity arrises.

Following the news of Alexander-Arnold's departure at the end of his contract, the Reds have been scouring the market for a potential replacement. Conor Bradley is already an option for manager Slot, but the arrival of Frimpong would add a goalscoring threat from right-back. The Netherlands international thrived under Xabi Alonso last season as Leverkusen claimed the title, scoring 14 goals and supplying ten assists in all competitions.
DID YOU KNOW?
While Frimpong looks to have emerged as Liverpool's top target to replace Alexander-Arnold, there are other suggested options. The Mail's report also names RB Leipzig's Lutsharel Geertruida, who played under Slot at Feyenoord, as another candidate to arrive at Anfield this summer.
