  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Premier League title hopefuls Arsenal take on the Red Devils on Sunday afternoon, looking to return to the summit of the English top-flight. And before kick-off, Gunners fan Starmer - who is hoping to be the United Kingdom's next Prime Minister - was seen in the stands, excitedly awaiting the match to begin.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Arsenal are hoping to win the Premier League for the first time since 2004 but defending champions Manchester City leapfrogged them into first after their 4-0 win at Fulham on Saturday. However, Mikel Arteta's men can go top if they beat United on Sunday afternoon.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Starmer is not just an Arsenal fan, he's a season-ticket holder. He is also a big admirer of Gunners manager Arteta and drew comparisons with himself and the Spaniard.

He told Times Radio in February: "I feel an affinity with Arteta, the Arsenal manager, because again, if you look at his journey, he was appointed, it was hard to turn that Arsenal team around. To start with, people said he can’t do it, there was talk about whether he should continue, and look what he’s done now.”

    WHAT NEXT?

After taking on United, Arsenal will round off their Premier League season with a home clash against Everton on May 19, when they could win the title. There is a chance Starmer will once again be cheering on his side, this time at the Emirates.
