    Cardoso became just the second American man to score against Los Blancos in 20 years, following Pulisic's effort in the 2021 Champions League semi-final for Chelsea.

    Cardoso scored Betis' equaliser in a game they went on to win 2-1. Former Real star Isco netted the winner from the penalty spot as they moved up to sixth in La Liga.
