Joe Scally in high demand! Newcastle one of three Premier League clubs tracking USMNT star - with AC Milan also in transfer race

The Borussia Monchengladbach defender is grabbing attention from elite clubs across Europe due to his consistency for the Bundesliga side. According to ESPN, Scally is being monitored by Fulham and Bournemouth as well as the Magpies and Italian giants Milan.

While Scally remains committed to Monchengladbach and is unlikely to move in the current transfer window, ESPN sources indicate that the versatile defender remains open for a fresh challenge in the summer. Newcastle consider Scally a top target, especially if they lose Kieran Trippier to Bayern Munich. Meanwhile, Fulham had inquired about Scally in January 2023, but Monchengladbach knocked back their approach.

Scally has 76 appearances in the Bundesliga and 84 across all competitions since he joined Monchengladbach from New York City FC in January 2021. Known for his versatility, he can play at left-back, right-back, in the middle of defence, and has even featured on the wing for Gladbach this season.

Scally wants regular minutes under his belt for the rest of the 2023-24 season as he eyes a USMNT berth for the Copa America in the summer. He has played in every Bundesliga match this season and is gearing up for a crucial battle against league leaders Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.
