  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Former Love Island contestant Dyer is readying herself for a return to reality TV after signing up for the 2025 edition of the BBC’s famous dancing extravaganza. She has already started practicing, with Bowen doing his best to steer clear of rehearsal routines.

  • THE GOSSIP

West Ham captain Bowen tied the knot with Dyer on May 31 at a lavish ceremony that saw plenty of tears shed. The happy couple are now settling into married life and are confident that they can avoid Strictly separation traps that have led to the breakdown of at least 21 relationships down the years.

  • WHAT DYER SAID

Dyer told Fabulous from The Sun: “Jarrod’s so chill. We aren’t worried. There is no Strictly Curse. As soon as me and Jarrod met, we just gelled. We get on so well, and I’ve always wanted to have a nice, chilled and easy relationship. If we have a problem, we talk about it. I can’t be bothered with games, and when I met him there was none of that. I’m just so glad I got a good prince at the end. Finally!”

    DID YOU KNOW?

While Dyer is convinced that her marriage will last, she admits to being far from the perfect WAG. She added: “So, the football kit that Jarrod wears on the pitch is washed by the club. But they have their kit that they’ll travel in, so I’ll wash it. But you have to really put it on a real sensitive wash. You can imagine with three kids how much laundry there is.

“I just throw everything into the machine on the same setting, but his football kit came out completely destroyed. It was all frayed, so I was getting the scissors out to try and cut all the ends off. Luckily, he didn’t notice and I fixed it!”

Dyer also admits that she is not yet up to speed with the rules of football, despite being the daughter of passionate Hammers fan Danny and walking down the aisle with Bowen. She said: “I never thought I’d like football, ever. But I love it now. I get so into it, even if I still don’t know the offside rule. Jarrod has explained it to me a million times, but it goes in one ear and out the other, so he says he doesn’t even try now!”

  • WHAT NEXT FOR BOWEN?

Bowen, who clashed with angry supporters at the end of a disappointing Carabao Cup defeat for West Ham, was back among the goals in Premier League action during his latest outing - at Nottingham Forest - and will be hoping to add to his 16 international caps during the September break in domestic duty after being named in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad.
