<p>Ruben Amorim's move to Manchester United from Sporting has led to speculation the Portuguese boss could raid his former club in a bid to strengthen his Red Devils team. <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/man-utd-call-sporting-cp-offices-geovany-quenda-red-devils-transfers-ruben-amorim/bltaa51862e0680192f" target="_blank">United have reportedly already enquired&nbsp;about Quenda</a>, but it has now emerged that the club have been interested in the wonderkid for some time.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The Red Devils first sent scouts to watch Quenda last season as he fits into the current profile of targeting youngsters with the potential to grow, according to <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/11/24/geovany-quenda-sporting-lisbon-portugal-manchester-united/" target="_blank"><em>The Telegraph</em></a>. United are now preparing a €60 million (£50m) plus bonuses offer to Sporting and hope to bring him in next summer after he turns 18, as reported by <a href="https://www.abola.pt/futebol/noticias/euro60-m-mais-bonus-para-o-man-united-levar-quenda-do-sporting-2024112422534275437" target="_blank"><em>A Bola</em></a>. Quenda is contracted to Sporting until 2027 and is said to be keen to reunite with Amorim at Old Trafford.</p>
