  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    Johnson scored Spurs' first on the south coast to extend a remarkable record of scoring in each of his last six starts in all competitions. The last player to achieve such a run for Spurs was Harry Kane, who did it twice, in 2018/19 and in 2015. Teddy Sheringham also managed it in 1995 and only Clive Allen scored seven, although he did so in the 1980s.

    Johnson scored just six goals all season after his arrival from Nottingham Forest in 2023-24 but has already matched that tally by October in his second full campaign. Three of his goals have come in the Premier League, with two in the Europa League and one in the Carabao Cup.
