  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    Barcelona dealt with a major injury blow on Sunday as captain Ter Stegen suffered a horrific knee injury and was carried off on a stretcher in tears during the club's 5-1 win over Villarreal in La Liga. A day later, the Catalan giants carried out tests after which they revealed that the goalkeeper has a complete rupture in the patella and has undergone surgery.

    Amid fears of the Germany international missing the remainder of the season, Barcelona may make an emergency signing cover for him, and ex-custodian Bravo has offered to bail out the club from the crisis. The Chilean, who plied his trade with the Baugrana between 2014 and 2016, claimed that he is ready to come out of retirement if he is needed.
