WHAT HAPPENED?
The former Chelsea boss has made an immediate impact in her latest managerial post, with the United States steered to ultimate glory on French soil. A fifth Olympic crown was captured in Paris when seeing off Brazil 1-0 in the final.
She does, however, appear to have landed a medal – or at least borrowed one – with the 47-year-old striking an iconic pose in front of Paris’ most famous landmark. She has posted on social media: “Good morning USA. I’m gonna milk it for one week so forgive me.”

Hayes’ impact as USWNT coach has been hailed by those in her star-studded squad, with the bubbly Londoner returning a sense of fun and excitement to the American ranks. She is tied to a contract that will include the next Women’s World Cup in 2027.
