    WHAT HAPPENED?

    Per talkSPORT, Saudi Pro League giants are determined to sign Brazilian defender Gabriel from the Gunners as they are reportedly ready to offer an annual salary in the region of €20million (£16m/$21m), which is almost three times what the player is earning at Emirates Stadium at the moment. Al-Nassr have already made initial contact with Gabriel over a summer deal.

    Gabriel's current Arsenal deal runs until 2027 and the north London side are considering offering the player a new deal, with incoming sporting director Andrea Berta set to handle the negotiations. If the centre-back decides to move to Saudi Arabia next season instead of signing a renewal, the Premier League giants are expected to demand a fee in the region of £100m ($130m).

    Gabriel has been a mainstay in Arsenal's backline over the years and along with William Saliba, the Brazilian has formed one of the best defensive partnerships in the Premier League. In the 2024-25 campaign, Gabriel has appeared in 41 matches across all competitions, where he has scored five goals and provided an assist.
