WHAT THEY SAID
Ream told the USMNT’s official media at the end of a memorable occasion for him: “It’s special. Saw a lot of faces I knew – friends, family, ex team-mates. A lot of people that helped me on the way to get here. To be able to lead the team out, it’s always an honour. It’s always an honour to represent your country and represent soccer in the U.S. To be able to do it in your home town makes it that much more special.”

Ream, who is now 35 years of age and made his senior international debut back in 2010, is up to 52 appearances for his country. He will be hoping to figure again in a meeting with Oman on Tuesday, but Gregg Berhalter may ring the changes for that contest as he looks to give everybody game time.
