WHAT HAPPENED?
With a thumping 3-0 victory over Union Berlin this Saturday, Bayern became the first club in Europe’s top five leagues to notch up 50 goals in the campaign. Kane, who transferred from Tottenham to Bayern last summer, has quickly established himself as an indispensable asset for the German club. His two strikes against Union marked his 17th goal of the season, making him a cornerstone of Bayern’s attacking lineup. With that, the English striker’s overall goal involvement tally in the Bundesliga soared to a remarkable 60 (47 goals and 13 assists) in 41 appearances.

Three months into his tenure at Bayern, Kompany has put his own stamp on the team despite inheriting a squad with a few noticeable flaws in various positions. The 4-1 defeat to Barcelona showed that the team is still a work in progress but their notable 9-2 victory over Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League group stage in September showed that they are walking in the right direction.
