THE BIGGER PICTURE
While Renee Slegers' side did a commendable job to reach the final of the competition, they now face an uphill task as the Gunners are all set to take on a star-studded Barcelona side, who have won three Champions League titles in the last four seasons. Ahead of facing the Women's Super League giants, Blaugrana star Bonmati expressed her surprise at seeing Arsenal reach the final.
WHAT AITANA BONMATI SAID
Speaking to ESPN, Bonmati said: "For me, it was a surprise Arsenal reaching the final. They absolutely deserve it, because scoring four goals against Lyon in the second leg is not easy at all. I congratulate them for that because I think it was a big surprise, but a well-deserved one."
