Saliba has been in fine form once again for Arsenal this season, forming part of the shrewdest defence in the English top flight. However, the 24-year-old has admitted he still has to improve before he can describe himself as the very best in the business.
WHAT SALIBA SAID
Saliba told Telefoot: "I think I am one of the best, but not yet the best defender in the world. I can still become much better one day, I hope to improve."

There are a lot of contenders in the conversation to be the best centre-back in the world. Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk has plenty of admirers having won a raft of trophies during his time at Anfield, while Antonio Rudiger and Eder Militao were pivotal in Real Madrid's Champions League triumph last year.

Saliba and Arsenal had the weekend off to rest for their huge Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain, with the first leg of their semi-final kicking off at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday. The France international has played against his hometown club four times in the past but been on the winning side just once, when the Gunners triumphed 2-0 in the league phase back in October.
