Arsenal are on the verge of signing Tottenham target Eberechi Eze. The Gunners are now negotiating the terms of the transfer with the Eagles and are expected to finalise a deal to sign the England international very soon. Spurs were in touch with Palace over Eze's transfer, but are now ready to move on to alternative targets.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal have hijacked arch-rivals Tottenham's Eze transfer bid and are now close to signing the England international, with the attacking midfielder keen to move to the Emirates.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was in talks with his Palace counterpart Steve Paris and had an agreement with the Eagles and the player but are now ready to focus on alternatives if Eze opts for a move to their rivals. Arsenal were interested in Eze since the start of the summer transfer window, but they stepped up their efforts once Kai Havertz picked up a knee injury and could be sidelined for months.
