Neymar met ex-Paris Saint-Germain colleague Marco Verratti, who now plays for Qatar Stars League club Al-Arabi, as he celebrated the New Year in glamorous fashion alongside his pregnant girlfriend Bruna Biancardi and her family. The Brazil star also posed for a photograph with Verratti as he called the Italian midfielder: "The best player after Andres Iniesta."

On Christmas day, Bruna and Neymar jointly announced on social media that they are expecting their second child. They said in a joint statement on Instagram: "We are living in such a wonderful phase, and we couldn't help but share with you that HE once again heard our requests and confirmed our plans! WELCOME DAUGHTER. May you come with lots of health! We are waiting for you to complete our family even more. May God protect us from all evil, AMEN!"

Neymar has finally returned from injury and took to the field for Al-Hilal in a mid-season friendly against Al-Fayha on December 30. The Brazilian star scored on his return as the Saudi champions comfortably won the clash 2-0.

The 32-year-old is expected to return to competitive football on January 7 as Al-Hilal take on Al-Ittihad in a King Cup of Champions quarter-final clash.
