  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The footballing power couple went their separate ways some time ago, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Indeed, Luiz was a notable absentee during the celebrations after Lehmann's Juventus Women's team won the Scudetto earlier this month. Lehmann and Luiz met while both still playing for Aston Villa, with the Brazilian star then making the switch to Juventus last summer. He was followed by Lehmann just seven days later.

    THE GOSSIP

Lehmann had previously dated Swiss team-mate Ramona Bachmann before rekindling her relationship with Luiz in 2023 while both players were at Premier League side Aston Villa. The couple had previously dated in 2021, meaning they have overcome a split once before. Whether they can do so again remains to be seen.

  • TELL ME MORE

The two players remain in Italy for the time being but that may not be the case for too much longer. Lehmann looks set to stay as she is contracted to the club until 2027 and is happy in Turin. However, Luiz has struggled for game time and has even come in for criticism recently. He has been linked with a return to the Premier League, with both Nottingham Forest and Newcastle having been credited with an interest in the midfielder.

    WHAT NEXT

Lehmann looks set for more celebrations and will get her hands on the Scudetto trophy next time out when Juventus end their league campaign against Inter. The Women's team will then go on to play Roma in the Italian Women's Cup final. As for Luiz, he'll be hoping for minutes before the end of the season but his future looks increasingly to be away from Juventus.
