    The Bayern Munich superstar joined the MLS side’s youth ranks at the age of 14, having emigrated to Edmonton from Ghana alongside his family. A senior breakthrough was made in 2016, becoming the youngest player in Major League Soccer at the time.

    A record-breaking deal took Davies to Germany in 2019, with close to 200 appearances for Bayern taken in since then – claiming five Bundesliga titles and a Champions League crown along the way. The 23-year-old has never forgotten where it all began for him.

    Davies was presented with a special No.67 shirt ahead of the Whitecaps’ clash with Wrexham at BC Place. He was given a rousing reception by the home support, but saw the hosts slips to a 4-1 defeat – with Vancouver native Reynolds having the last laugh as the team that he co-owns alongside Rob McElhenney prevailed at the end of their North American tour.

    Davies has been enjoying a summer break on the back of Copa America duty with Canada.
