Former Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has been sacked by Bayer Leverkusen after the team's shocking Bundesliga collapse against ten-man Werder Bremen. Ten Hag has been dismissed after just two Bundesliga games and 62 days in charge of the German side, who were held to a 3-3 draw after blowing a two-goal lead against Bremen on Saturday.
Bayer Leverkusen star Piero Hincapie has reportedly agreed personal terms with Arsenal on a long-term contract, snubbing Tottenham in the process. Arsenal will now negotiate a fee with Leverkusen for the Ecuadorian centre-back as they bid to hijack another Spurs transfer following the capture of Eberechi Eze.
Tottenham Hotspur had identified Piero Hincapie as someone worth pursuing in the final days of the transfer window, but are now at risk of losing another target to Arsenal.
