Team news will play a big role this weekend. Pauli are without central defenders David Nemeth and Karol Mets, though Hauke Wahl, Eric Smith, and Adam Dzwigala are fit to step in. 

Midfield anchor James Sands looks set to resume his role in the middle, possibly alongside new signing Joel Chima Fujita. Up front, if Blessin sticks with a front three, the likes of Oladapo Afolayan, Andreas Hountondji, and Mathias Pereira Lage will all be vying for a starting nod.

Borussia Dortmund team news

Dortmund aren't without issues of their own, with both Nico Schlotterbeck and Niklas Sule sidelined. That could see Filippo Mane, Waldemar Anton, and Ramy Bensebaini forming a makeshift backline. In midfield, all eyes could be on Jobe Bellingham, who may be handed his first competitive start for the club, lining up next to veterans Pascal Gross and Marcel Sabitzer.

And then there's Serhou Guirassy. The striker rattled home 21 Bundesliga goals last season, second only to Harry Kane, and will be desperate to hit the ground running as Dortmund look to avoid another false dawn.
