Jolly Montemurlo Panoramica

Austin FC has cleaned house ahead of the World Cup break as the club announced on Monday that both head coach Nico Estevez and sporting director Rodolfo Borrell have been dismissed. The decision comes amid a poor start to the season that currently sees the club sitting 13th in the Western Conference following yet another loss this past weekend.

James Rodriguez's brief, underwhelming spell with Minnesota United appears to be nearing an abrupt end. Apple TV's Michele Giannone and The Athletic reported that the Colombian star will leave next week to join his national team for the World Cup and is not expected to return after the tournament. The midfielder has made just four league appearances for the club.

Two MLS clubs have fired their coaches less than two months into the season, and there is plenty of reason to believe that further managers could leave in the coming weeks.

Lionel Messi found himself trending for an unusual reason following Inter Miami's 2-2 draw with Austin. The legendary forward produced a rare misplaced pass that left fans convinced he was still looking for his retired former team-mate Jordi Alba.
