Team news & squads
Ipswich Town team news
Manager Kieran McKenna is expected to be without injured quartet Conor Townsend, Harry Clarke, Wes Burns and Christian Walton.
Arijanet Muric could start ahead of Alex Palmer and Christian Walton in goal, likely to be shielded by a back four of Ben Johnson, Dara O’Shea, Jacob Greaves and Leif Davis.
Jens Cajuste, Nathan Broadhead and Omari Hutchinson are also in contention for starts, while George Hirst is tipped to be recalled in attack.
Southampton team news
Given Taylor Harwood-Bellis' return from injury, Saints boss Will Still will welcome a selection headache at the back. However, James Bree is ruled out with a leg injury, and Armel Bella-Kotchap is unlikely to be part of Still's plans as the German will probably leave this summer.
William Smallbone remains sidelined with a calf injury, but Shea Charles and Flynn Downes are at hand to provide cover in the middle.
Mateus Fernandes scored the winner in a mid-week Carabao Cup tie at Northampton, while defensive duo Ryan Manning and Jack Stephens were on target in last weekend's 2-1 league win against Wrexham.
