Atletico faced an injury setback in their opening match of the season, as summer signing Alex Baena sustained a muscular injury and could be sidelined until September.

Jose Gimenez remains a doubt, but the rest of the squad is in good condition. 

There is a possibility of Alexander Sorloth featuring alongside Julian Alvarez in the final third, whereas Pablo Barrios and Conor Gallagher may need to battle for a starting spot.
