Houston, meanwhile, are chasing ground in the playoff hunt. They sit 12th in the West on 28 points — four shy of ninth-placed San Jose — but still have a game in hand on their rivals. Last weekend, they salvaged a dramatic 2-2 draw against Austin FC thanks to a late brace from Jack McGlynn, who struck in the 80th minute and again in the 89th to erase a two-goal deficit.
