Quarterback Bear Bachmeier was sharp in Week 1, completing 63.6 percent of his passes for 97 yards and three touchdowns without a turnover. Carsen Ryan and Cody Hagen have combined for 82 receiving yards and a score, while Jovesa Damuni has hauled in two catches.
The Cougars' ground attack has been nothing short of dominant, averaging a staggering 468 rushing yards per contest. LJ Martin spearheaded the effort last week with 131 yards on just eight carries. Defensively, BYU has looked rock-solid, surrendering no points and only 51 total yards in their opener. John Taumoepeau paced the defense with three tackles, Anisi Purcell notched a sack, and Bodie Schoonover registered a pass deflection.

Quarterback Ben Gulbranson has struggled to find consistency, completing just 50 percent of his throws for 109 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception. In the passing game, Chico Holt and C.J. On the ground, Stanford has been far more effective, averaging 177 rushing yards per game. Micah Ford has been the bright spot, racking up 113 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, the Cardinal have held opponents to 23 points and 306 total yards per contest.
