Toronto FC team news

Toronto FC are dealing with a series of injuries, especially in defense. Zane Monlouis, Henry Wingo, and Nicksoen Gomis are all on the season-ending injury list following surgeries for abdominal, quadriceps, and Achilles problems, respectively, ruling them out for all remaining fixtures in 2025

Veteran Richie Laryea remains sidelined with a lingering hamstring issue, and goalkeeper Sean Johnson is also suspended after being involved in an on-field altercation earlier this month.

Forward Prince Owusu will also miss out due to suspension.

CF Montreal team news

CF Montreal are in much healthier shape, with just a few players set to miss the match. Kwadwo Opoku and Giacomo Vrioni are out until at least early September with muscle injuries, and Samuel Piette remains sidelined by an abdominal issue.

Spanish midfielder Ivan Jaime is expected to make his MLS debut after his recent loan signing from Porto, giving the team a fresh creative spark. Otherwise, no key suspensions are impacting the squad.
