Two National League sides looking to snap their respective losing skids, the New York Mets (15-19) and the St. Louis Cardinals (16-18) clash will open a three-game MLB set in the Gateway City on Monday.
New York closed a three-game set against the Rays on Sunday afternoon. After opening the series with a 10-8 loss, they fell to another 3-1 defeat in the middle game. They fought brilliantly in game three, but they suffered a clean sweep following a 7-6 defeat.
St. Louis, meanwhile, haven't started the 2024 season off as they hoped to, but the hosts also haven't been at full strength for a single game yet. They wasted another solid start, as they lost the last two games to lose their series 2-1 against the Chicago White Sox.
