Wrexham will take on Hull at home in the first round of the 2025-26 Carabao Cup following the draw on Thursday afternoon. It will be the first time in 20 years that the two teams have squared off, having last met in League One when the Tigers beat the Red Dragons 2-1.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The first round will be played in the week commencing August 11, soon after Wrexham's first game of the Championship season away at Southampton. After the cup game, they then have a run of games against West Brom, Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall and Queens Park Rangers in a tough-looking start to the campaign.

Wrexham were knocked out in the first round of the Carabao Cup last year, being eliminated by Sheffield United after a 4-2 away defeat. They made it a stage further the campaign prior before succumbing to Bradford on penalties.
