The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has reached his one-year anniversary with the Saudi Pro League club, with the decision taken to embrace a new challenge in the Middle East back in January 2023 following his stunning release by Manchester United. Ronaldo was always going to be a talismanic presence, and he looks to lead by example on and off the pitch.

The video released by Al-Nassr which pays tribute to their superstar No.7 shows Ronaldo trying to inspire those around him. He can be seeing urging his team-mates to “fight” at one point, while another clip shows him urging his colleagues to be “on track again”.

Ronaldo has delivered on a consistent basis throughout his time with Al-Nassr. He registered 54 goals across his domestic and international outings in 2023, with nobody competing at an elite level in world football able to better that return.

CR7 is currently enjoying a mid-season break – allowing him to head back to his native Portugal for New Year – and his next outing will see a reunion with eternal rival Lionel Messi taken in as Al-Nassr prepare to face Inter Miami in the friendly Riyadh Cup event on February 1.
