  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Wrexham secured their second straight promotion on Saturday after a 6-0 rout of Forest Green Rovers, with results elsewhere ensuring their place in the top three of League Two was guaranteed. After the match, the first-team squad could be seen wildly celebrating their ascension to the English third-tier. It's safe to say co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney would have loved to have been there.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

It's now two promotions on the spin for Reynolds and McElhenney's Wrexham. After winning the National League last season, the Welsh outfit overcame a slow start in League Two to finish in the automatic promotion places. While there are still two games to be played this term, preparations for how they will attack League One will be underway. The Hollywood owners said they want Wrexham to reach the Premier League one day and now they are just two leagues away from that lofty goal.

    WHAT NEXT?

Wrexham, who sit second in League Two, are away to play-off hopefuls Crewe Alexandra next Saturday, before hosting league leaders Stockport County on the last day of the season on April 27.
