The 39-year-old pulled off the stunning bit of acrobatics late in the game to round off the scoring as Portugal sealed a 5-1 victory to book their place in the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals as group winners.

Asked if it is the best goal he has scored for Portugal, Ronaldo told reporters: "It’s hard to say. I haven’t had the chance to see the images properly yet. It was a beautiful goal, but I don’t know if it was one of the most beautiful. Honestly, I have to reconsider the degree of difficulty as well. I’m quite happy. It was a difficult goal. I was a bit hesitant about the penalty, as I had missed one against Al-Nassr. When things are like that, the anxiety is a bit greater, but things went well. Having scored a penalty earlier in the game, Ronaldo's double played a key role in his side's success. Roberto Martinez's side have won four and drawn one of the five matches they have played in the Nations League.

Ronaldo will hope to be involved again when Portugal take on Croatia on November 18 in their final game of the Nations League group stage.
