USMNT prospect Cole Campbell makes another cameo in Dortmund's Bundesliga loss to Mainz

Highly-regarded U.S. youth prospect Cole Campbell is seeing more minutes for Dortmund, featuring in the fifth straight game for the struggling Bundesliga side. He tallied his longest German top flight appearance to date, playing 15 minutes in a 3-1 loss to Mainz. His cameo follows a Champions League outing midweek against Sturm Graz.

Campbell had admittedly few chances to impress, but still managed 11 touches, and put in some valuable defensive work for Nuri Sahin's side. It now seems that the 18-year-old is becoming a regular for Dortmund.

Campbell featured in a historic evening midweek for U.S. nationals. Nine Americans featured on the same matchday in the Champions League - a new record.

The winger's next appearance will likely be for the U.S. U-20s as they take on first South Korea and then France in a duo of international friendlies next week. After that, he will hope to feature in the Dortmund set up again when the German side face Freiburg in the Bundesliga.
