The 27-year-old has enjoyed a largely successful spell at Milan and has established himself as one of the leading full-backs in Europe.
However, per the Calciomercato report, Hernandez's body language on the pitch and lapses of concentration in defence have called into question his ability to impact games. In fact, after Milan's agonising 3-3 draw against Cagliari last weekend, manager Paulo Fonseca called Hernandez out for his defending.
"You can't concede goals like that... Theo must improve defensively, and we are working to correct that," he told reporters following the game.
Hernandez sees his long-term future with Milan and is happy at the club as he wants to stay beyond June 2026. But the delay in contract negotiations in recent months has paved the way to some doubts. Additionally, the French left-back has requested an increase from his current €4.5 million per season to €6.5 million.
