Sergio Ramos will never change! Real Madrid legend adds another red card to his insane collection after reckless challenge leaves Sevilla with ten men against Real Sociedad

The Andalusian outfit found themselves two goals behind after a quarter of the match, with Umar Sadiq adding to an own goal from goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic inside three minutes. Yassif En-Nesyri pulled one back for the visitors on the hour mark, but any hopes of a comeback were dashed thanks to Ramos' typical recklessness.

The Los Blancos legend, who has started just four league matches since re-joining Sevilla on a free transfer in the summer, was dismissed with minutes to go for a high tackle on Sociedad winger Brais Mendez. Ramos had initially been awarded a yellow card for the challenge, but a VAR intervention called for the booking to be cancelled and replaced with a red.

Ramos has been sent off a staggering 29 times in his career, with his last dismissal coming for PSG in a 0-0 draw with Reims last season. The Spaniard is the player with the most red cards in the 21st century, placing him above Rafael Marquez (21) and Felipe Melo (20).

Ramos will serve a three-game suspension, which will see him miss Los Rojiblancos' upcoming domestic fixtures against Villarreal and Mallorca in the league, as well as a Copa del Rey clash at Atletico Astorga. The centre-back will, however, be eligible to feature in Sevilla's Champions League clash at home to PSV in midweek.
