Getty ImagesNapoli make Rasmus Hojlund move! Serie A club open talks to land Denmark international as Man Utd aim to sell striker before summer deadline
Napoli have initiated fresh transfer talks with Manchester United outcast Rasmus Hojlund, as they look to replace the injured Romelu Lukaku in their squad. Hojlund has been part of Amorim's 'bomb squad' since the start of United's pre-season and with Benjamin Sesko's arrival at the club, it is evident that the Danish forward no longer features in the United coach's plans.

WHAT HAPPENED?
According to Fabrizio Romano, Napoli have had positive talks with Hojlund's representatives as the player is willing to make a move back to Italy. The striker, however, has laid down certain conditions, which include guarantees of his staying at the club on a long-term basis and not just a mere loan move. Talks are ongoing between Napoli and United over a possible transfer now, as the Red Devils are ready to offload the out-of-favour forward.

DID YOU KNOW?
The Red Devils handed Hojlund a long-term contract until 2028, while signing him from Atalanta in 2023, with an option for an extra year, but his time in England has been underwhelming. The striker managed just 10 goals across 52 games last season, leaving many to question whether he has what it takes to succeed at Old Trafford.
